Colorado is experiencing massive growth in ADU's due to lessening restrictions and impressive value add to properties. These detached living spaces, in many jurisdictions, allow for additional income opportunities such as short term rentals (STR's-AirBNB, VRBO, etc.) and long term rentals (LTR's). They can also be great places for in-laws to live, or out-of-state guests to retreat to while visiting.

National Realtors Association states that on average properties with ADU's are typically priced 35% higher than similar properties without ADU's.
